Marker Dedications

 

The Sons of Confederate Veterans and United Daughters of the Confederacy will assist you in obtaining a headstone provided by the Department of Veterans Affairs. The stone is furnished upon request, at no charge to the applicant. This headstone or marker is available for the grave of any deceased eligible veteran in any cemetery. The headstone or marker will be furnished only for graves that are not marked with a legible, private headstone.


Flat markers in granite, marble, and bronze and upright headstones in granite and marble are available. Niche markers are also available to mark columbaria used for inurnment of cremated remains.

Once the stone arrives and has been set at the veterans grave, the SCV and UDC will have a ceremony to recognize the veteran and dedicate the stone.
